Small telehandlers present several advantages, which make these machines an industry favourite on all levels. While compact or mini telehandlers need less space to do their job, they still offer a high-load capacity and impressive range. The size of compact telehandlers allows operators to easily navigate through hard-to-reach areas. Areas larger telehandlers might not be able to reach. Despite the smaller size, all models offer the same versatility as their ‘bigger brothers’. The machines can be equipped with a wide range of telehandler attachments, maximising efficiency and enhancing versatility.

Let’s talk about details and specifications. Small telescopic handlers typically are fixed telehandlers with a cab and articulated arm. Depending on the specific type or model, lifting capacity and reach vary. Where (bigger) standard telehandlers can lift up to 4 tonnes and usually have a maximum reach of approximately 20 metres, small telehandlers or compact telehandlers can lift the same weight but have a smaller reach: 10 metres. A mini telehandler (or super compact telehandler) is limited to lifting capacities close to 2.5 tonnes with a limited reach of 5 to 6 metres. All models can be fitted with different forms of steering, such as four-wheel or crab steering as well as front-wheel only.
